C-Track Case Management

The C-Track Case Management System (CMS) was designed to provide new efficiencies and optimizations in the courts’ day-to-day operations. C-Track eliminates duplication of data and tasks, thereby reducing errors and ensuring that courts operate more efficiently.
Case Management Functionality
C-Track CMS provides all the basic functions of a court case management system, including the following:
| • Configurability | C-Track is built to be easily configurable by the user, including user-defined fields and their values. The Rules Engine is configurable to quickly adapt to the Court’s changing rules and procedures. |
| • Case Information | C-Track has standard case information such as case number, case type, case status, and case title. |
| • Docketing | Each docket entry type and subtype can be associated with a different set of data fields appropriate to the type of docket entry. A docket entry can trigger subsequent actions through the C-Track Rules Engine. |
| • Ticklers | A tickler system allows the user to set a reminder for either a document due or a task assigned. It may be created either manually or automatically. |
| • Notes | Multiple notes can be attached to cases, participants, docket entries, calendar events, and other items as needed. |
| • Entity Management | There can be many types of entities, such as a person, organization, property, agency, or attorney. An entity may be stored in the system only one time and then associated with multiple cases as a party, participant or attorney. |
| • Parties/Participants | Entities may be added as parties or participants on a case, along with their designated role. |
| • Attorney Management | Each of the parties on a case can be represented by an unlimited number of attorneys, or the party can be designated as pro se. |
| • Entity Associations | C-Track has a facility to assign directional relationships between any two entities. Such associations (i.e. child, mother, etc.) are formed to relate people to people, properties (e.g. vehicles, evidence), businesses or agencies. |
| • Case Relationships | C-Track currently offers case relationships in three different forms; consolidation, linking, and grouping by issue. |
| • Calendaring/Scheduling | C-Track allows users to schedule conferences, oral arguments, or other types of events as designated by the Court. |
| • Conflict Management/Recusals | C-Track allows court staff to indicate potential conflicts of interest between a justice or judge and an entity in the system. Recusals and substitutions can be recorded. |
| • Judge Assignment | Cases can be automatically or manually assigned to a judge or justice. |
