About Our Company
Methodology

Project management activities are grounded in the Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology and have been fine-tuned over the years to address court-centric implementations. Our development methodology has also been adapted over the years by building on industry standards. Incorporated into both methodologies are extensive quality assurance processes including multiple layers of testing and quality reviews. By integrating people, process, and product methodologies we reduce risks, manage costs and deliver on client requirements. Following is our basic approach to a project:
Project Initiation. A project team is identified and basic project management policies (e.g. issue tracking, status reporting) are agreed upon and documented in a project charter.
Systems Analysis. Systems analysis consists of knowledge exchange between the client and LT Court Tech. This allows the both teams to develop joint understanding of the systems and terminology.
Functional Design. This stage builds on the information learned in Systems Analysis and creates a functional model of the data and processes that will be in the new system. Three activities are occurring at this stage:
- Functional specifications
- Data mapping
- Data configuration
System Development. The functional specifications are used to design, develop, and test the system.
User Acceptance Testing. Testers undergo training on the new system prior to testing. Once tested and approved, formal acceptance is required, and a date scheduled for implementation.
Implementation. On the implementation date, data is migrated and users run a final validation before the system goes live. Once the system is implemented the maintenance agreement begins.
Phase and Project Conclusion. Testers undergo training on the new system prior to testing. Once tested and approved, formal acceptance is required, and a date scheduled for implementation.
